Aeria Motorised Retractable Roof Pergola
Open to the sky, sheltered when you need it.
The Aeria is an aluminium pergola with a motorised retractable fabric roof, allowing the outdoor space to be open to the sky or covered when shade and shelter are needed.
Its roof covering retracts into a compact housing, while the aluminium frame incorporates concealed fixings and an integrated rainwater drainage system. The roof can be operated using a SOMFY remote control.
AERIA PERGOLA
Motorised Retractable Fabric Roof System
The Aeria combines an aluminium supporting structure with a retractable fabric roof that can be opened, partially extended or fully closed using a remote control.
The roof covering is designed to provide shade and protection from rain when extended, while retracting it allows natural light and ventilation into the space. This makes the Aeria particularly suitable for patios and outdoor seating areas where flexibility is important.
The system can also be specified with compatible glass sliding panels and additional accessories, subject to the chosen configuration and installation requirements.
You can also explore our full pergola range to compare other fixed-roof, louvred and retractable designs.
Key Features:
Motorised retractable fabric roof
Waterproof, UV-resistant roof covering
Compact roof housing
Optional integrated LED lighting and heating, subject to availability
SOMFY remote control operation
Optional compatible glass sliding panels
Aluminium Frame & Retractable Roof Construction
The Aeria features a powder-coated aluminium frame finished in RAL 7024, combined with a white retractable fabric roof.
Its geometric frame design provides structural support for the retractable covering, while concealed fixings maintain a clean appearance. The roof incorporates an integrated gutter system designed to collect and direct rainwater away from the covered area.
The fabric operates along a guided mechanism, allowing the roof to extend and retract smoothly. The structure, fixing arrangements and installation requirements should be assessed for the proposed location.
Roof Operation, Lighting & Drainage
Integrated Dimmable LED Lighting
Optional LED lighting can be incorporated into the structure, providing illumination for evening use. Lighting operation is controlled through the compatible SOMFY system.
Integrated Drainage System (IDS)
Rainwater is collected through the roof drainage arrangement and channelled through the supporting uprights, helping to manage water discharge without exposed downpipes.
Six-Wheel Fabric Guidance System
The retractable covering uses a six-wheel guidance mechanism designed to support controlled movement of the fabric along the aluminium frame.
Waterproof Roof Fabric
The Aeria uses a waterproof fabric covering designed to provide rain protection when fully extended. Performance remains subject to the manufacturer’s operating limits, installation requirements and weather conditions.

Flexible Roof Coverage for Patios & Outdoor Seating Areas
The Aeria is designed for outdoor spaces where a fixed roof may not provide the flexibility required.
With the fabric fully retracted, the patio remains open to natural light and fresh air. The roof can then be extended to provide shade or shelter when needed.
The combination of motorised operation, aluminium construction and optional lighting makes the Aeria suitable for a range of residential patio and terrace installations.

The Verdant Landscapes Ltd team transformed our garden from a poorly utilised vegetable patch to raised beds with a solid base for a greenhouse. Over 4 days they put in a compacted base, built oak framed raised beds and cut in all the paving slabs to provide a path around the entire area before finally filling the beds with new topsoil. We’re very pleased with the transformation. We would happily use Verdant Landscapes again for future projects as they took real care with their work.

I CAN’T recommend Verdant Landscapes enough. This was the second project they have done for me and thanks to the team they have delivered me my dream outdoor kitchen. I’ve wanted this for years and couldn’t be happier to have it and to have been finished to such a high standard. They replaced the steps to my house, the front patio, laid stones down the side, a new patio to the rear and raised patio complete with the outdoor kitchen. Quality of work is faultless and also an exceptionally nice team of guys that do the work that are a pleasure to have over.
Thanks so much 🙏

Absolutely superb effort and end result for our garden re-design project.
Couldn’t have been happier with the team that Tom had in place. On time everyday and worked solid days to get it completed on time. No issues or dramas, just a great experienced team who knew what needed to be done and got it done. The finished result was 10/10, and could not have asked for anything more.
It’s tricky when selecting builders for big jobs like this, but Tom demonstrated knowledge and confidence from the outset and proved it when he brought the team along.
The team at Verdant replaced a stone patio from our new build developers with a stunning Porcelain tile as well as created a new secondary patio around our garden office, and levelled all the grounds finishing with a an amazing premium quality artificial grass. Finished off with a top class veranda to give us plenty of shade and shelter from the rain! It was a big job, but they delivered and completed in under 2 weeks, which was astonishing.
Thank you Tom and Team, absolutely great job and would 100% recommend again and again.

Well what can I say from start to finish these guys have been amazing!
Sean firstly, relaxed but professional on the first call and very quick at arranging a visit to look at the work to be done.
First meeting very friendly and put me at ease straight away.
There was lots of phone calls regarding work/quotes and questions and he took it all in his stride.
Part of the reason we decide on theses guys to do the job was that they gave us the clearest idea of what the garden was going to look like once finished.
After deciding on the company to do the work we meet Tom who over saw the whole job, and yes he was there everyday of the 6 week long transformation! Again professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
The team was made up with 2 more friendly chaps John and feluke and three worked none stop over the whole of the job, always there to answer my many questions and reassure me and my husband along the way. We cannot thank them enough for all there hard work and would recommend them to anyone!
They finished the job and the property was left spotless ( eg drive/ garage etc) great work and now to enjoy the summer!
