Folium Freestanding Aluminium Pergola
A Freestanding Pergola for Gardens, Patios & Outdoor Seating Areas
The Folium is a freestanding aluminium pergola designed to provide a covered outdoor area independently of the house.
Suitable for garden seating areas, detached patios and other outdoor spaces, it combines a powder-coated aluminium frame with a choice of polycarbonate roof panels, integrated rainwater drainage and configurable side walls.
FOLIUM PERGOLA
A Freestanding Pergola with Flexible Positioning
Unlike a wall-mounted pergola, the Folium is designed as a completely independent structure. This allows it to be positioned away from the house, creating a separate covered area within the garden.
It can be used to provide shelter over a seating area, outdoor dining space or detached patio, subject to suitable foundations, access and installation requirements.
The aluminium frame incorporates a polycarbonate roof and integrated guttering, with a choice of roof finishes and side-wall arrangements. Decorative post and beam details are also available, allowing the appearance of the structure to be adapted to its surroundings.
Key Features:
Freestanding aluminium construction
Choice of decorative post and beam details
Clear, opal, ultra-clear or solar-control polycarbonate roofing
Integrated gutter and rainwater drainage
Configurable side-wall arrangements
Optional LED lighting and decorative side panels
Choice of powder-coated aluminium finishes
Available in a range of widths and projections
Roof Construction, Drainage & Side-Wall Options
The Folium has a distinctive roof arrangement, with the highest point positioned towards the front of the structure and the integrated gutter located at the rear. This allows rainwater to be collected and directed away through the drainage system.
The standard configuration includes a closed rear wall and one closed side wall. An alternative side-wall arrangement incorporates an ultra-clear polycarbonate window, while another side can include a designated entrance or opening.
These arrangements allow the Folium to provide varying degrees of enclosure, privacy and weather protection. The final configuration should be selected according to the intended use, position within the garden and available installation options.
With a sleek, contemporary look and a completely detached structure, the Folium lets you enjoy outdoor living wherever and however you like.

The Folium uses a powder-coated aluminium frame with square supporting posts and a choice of polycarbonate roof panels.
The available roof finishes allow different levels of light transmission and solar control, while the integrated gutter provides a means of managing rainwater collected from the roof.
As a freestanding structure, the Folium requires suitable foundations and secure fixing arrangements. We assess the proposed location, finished ground levels and drainage requirements before confirming the installation specification.

The Verdant Landscapes Ltd team transformed our garden from a poorly utilised vegetable patch to raised beds with a solid base for a greenhouse. Over 4 days they put in a compacted base, built oak framed raised beds and cut in all the paving slabs to provide a path around the entire area before finally filling the beds with new topsoil. We’re very pleased with the transformation. We would happily use Verdant Landscapes again for future projects as they took real care with their work.

I CAN’T recommend Verdant Landscapes enough. This was the second project they have done for me and thanks to the team they have delivered me my dream outdoor kitchen. I’ve wanted this for years and couldn’t be happier to have it and to have been finished to such a high standard. They replaced the steps to my house, the front patio, laid stones down the side, a new patio to the rear and raised patio complete with the outdoor kitchen. Quality of work is faultless and also an exceptionally nice team of guys that do the work that are a pleasure to have over.
Thanks so much 🙏

Absolutely superb effort and end result for our garden re-design project.
Couldn’t have been happier with the team that Tom had in place. On time everyday and worked solid days to get it completed on time. No issues or dramas, just a great experienced team who knew what needed to be done and got it done. The finished result was 10/10, and could not have asked for anything more.
It’s tricky when selecting builders for big jobs like this, but Tom demonstrated knowledge and confidence from the outset and proved it when he brought the team along.
The team at Verdant replaced a stone patio from our new build developers with a stunning Porcelain tile as well as created a new secondary patio around our garden office, and levelled all the grounds finishing with a an amazing premium quality artificial grass. Finished off with a top class veranda to give us plenty of shade and shelter from the rain! It was a big job, but they delivered and completed in under 2 weeks, which was astonishing.
Thank you Tom and Team, absolutely great job and would 100% recommend again and again.

Well what can I say from start to finish these guys have been amazing!
Sean firstly, relaxed but professional on the first call and very quick at arranging a visit to look at the work to be done.
First meeting very friendly and put me at ease straight away.
There was lots of phone calls regarding work/quotes and questions and he took it all in his stride.
Part of the reason we decide on theses guys to do the job was that they gave us the clearest idea of what the garden was going to look like once finished.
After deciding on the company to do the work we meet Tom who over saw the whole job, and yes he was there everyday of the 6 week long transformation! Again professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
The team was made up with 2 more friendly chaps John and feluke and three worked none stop over the whole of the job, always there to answer my many questions and reassure me and my husband along the way. We cannot thank them enough for all there hard work and would recommend them to anyone!
They finished the job and the property was left spotless ( eg drive/ garage etc) great work and now to enjoy the summer!
